Here is how to stop specific types of messages that change spellings to bypass the filter, so a content filter based on this will effectively stop these messages:

1. Login to your mail account at http://mail.domain.xyz (login as root@ if you want to set this filter for the entire domain)
2. Click on Settings->My Content Filtering (Domain Content Filtering if you want this to work for all of your users)
3. Click on Add Filter
4. Expand the Contains Specific Words or Phrases section and check Subject, then click NEXT.
5. Click "OR" at the top of the screen and under Criteria Details add the following:

v**g*a (example)

( Depending on what types of spam you receive, look through for key words that are common and the spelling is altered. Use those words here, but wherever you see the spelling change, insert a * as a wildcard so the filter can catch it. )


6. Click NEXT and give the rule a name, then choose the action you want it to take (we recommend either DELETE or MOVE TO JUNK FOLDER) and then click on SAVE.

The Sober.X virus will always contain one of the following subjects, so a content filter based on this will effectively stop these messages:

1. Login to your mail account at http://mail.domain.xyz (login as root@ if you want to set this filter for the entire domain)
2. Click on Settings->My Content Filtering (Domain Content Filtering if you want this to work for all of your users)
3. Click on Add Filter
4. Expand the Contains Specific Words or Phrases section and check Subject, then click NEXT.
5. Click "OR" at the top of the screen and under Criteria Details add the following:

6. Click NEXT and give the rule a name, then choose the action you want it to take (we recommend either DELETE or MOVE TO JUNK FOLDER) and then click on SAVE.

Here is how to create a SmarterMail filter that will prevent delivery of the new Mytob.db virus:

1. Login to your mail account at http://mail.domain.xyz (login as root@ if you want to set this filter for the entire domain)
2. Click on Settings->My Content Filtering (Domain Content Filtering if you want this to work for all of your users)
3. Click on Add Filter
4. Expand the Contains Specific Words or Phrases section and check Subject, then click NEXT.
5. Click "OR" at the top of the screen and under Criteria Details add the following:

Once you have completed the form in the attached file , your account records will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.

If you're recieving a lot of email with garbage foreign characters, you can easily filter them via the SmarterMail content filtering for your account or domain.

1. Login to your mail account at http://mail.domain.xyz (login as root@ if you want to set this filter for the entire domain)
2. Click on Settings->My Content Filtering (Domain Content Filtering if you want this to work for all of your users)
3. Click on Add Filter
4. Expand the Contains Specific Words or Phrases section and check Anywhere in Message, then click NEXT.
5. Click "OR" at the top of the screen and under Criteria Details add the following:

Make sure each character is on a separate line - that means any instance of the character will be filtered, regardless of where/how it appears.

Here is how to create a SmarterMail filter that will prevent delivery of the new Sober.O virus:
